Space and Amenities

Wave House is designed to accommodate groups from 20 - 3,000 guests. Depending on your group size and needs, there is a location in our venue for you!

North Shore Café: Sitting beneath the thatched roofing of our North Shore huts while watching the waves in the Pacific Ocean creates the perfect backdrop for groups of up to 50 guests.

Impact Zone: The name speaks for itself. Guests have direct views of the famous Bruticus Maximus 10’ FlowBarrel. Sit here at your own risk, with our professional riders shredding the wave you could get wet! This area works great combined with the Oasis or Courtyard Plaza to expand seating.

Courtyard Plaza: Located right as you walk into the main entrance of Wave House, this tented area provides a more exclusive location for groups of 25 to 150. Guests will enjoy the ambient lighting of stringer lights over head whiling being able to still put their toes in the sand.

Oasis: This area connects all the elements of the venue holding approximately 400 guests. Containing three of giant kava bars, beach side fire pits, hammocks and tropical seating areas, the Oasis supports the most stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. An entry and exit point onto Mission beach is located in the middle of this area. Combining both the Plaza and Terrace this location works great for groups of 25 to 200.

Ocean View Plaza: Located next to the remaining historical Belmont Park arch the Ocean View Plaza is the perfect location to watch your friends on the FlowRider and then head to Sound Wave for a beverage. During our summer months, guests will have the chance to see national acts on the summer concert stage constructed in this area.

The Plunge Pool: Built in 1925, this historical element is one of the most memorable to local San Diegans. Over 125’ and a warm 84 degrees year round this pool connects to the Wave House venue by four giant clear roll up doors. Perfect for a company picnic or additional event space the Plunge is a must see for your guests.

Sound Wave: Lined with windows of beach front views the Café has a spot for everyone. A private indoor lounge, outside seating area and comfortable bar making this location the perfect fit for a causal event at the beach. Holding up to 250 guests this space can be combined with the Music Hall and Rooftop Deck.

Sound Wave Music Hall: Welcome to the sounds of Mission Beach! Dressed with colors and textures of the beach and ocean this music hall brings the outside in to give you the true sense of concerts at the beach. Watching local and national acts on our main stage, this music hall can be used for any type of event with up to 700 guests.

Cloud Break Terrace: This tiki style rooftop provides your guests with the most amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and the spectacular sun sets. Perfect for a reception, the rooftop can be combined with the use of the Music Hall for your private event and can host 150 guests alone.
