Rider Ratings

Riders are levels 1, 2, 3 or 4 based on skill level with 1 being the best and 4 being the most basic. Within each level, there is an A and a B. Each team must have a 1, 2, 3 and 4 rider.

Below are the definitions of each rating and the ranting of some of our riders. Ratings can be adjusted further if the Flow League Committee sees significant improvement in any rider's ability between now and the beginning of the league. 

SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS

Level 1 / Expert

A: Consistently lands an array of flips, aerials and switch tricks

B: Performs an array of aerials, flips and switch tricks, but not as consistent or clean as an “A”

Level 2 / Advanced

A: Performs with confidence a few basic airs and tricks

B: Performs basics and tricks, but not as consistent or as clean as an “A”

Level 3 / Intermediate

A: Comfortable in and out of the barrel and can perform basic tricks on the wave surface

B: Traverse the wave comfortably. Occasionally can get in and out of the barrel

Level 4 / Beginner

A: May use rope to enter wave, but rides without it. Can traverse the wave with some control

B: Uses rope for the majority of their run. May ride on FlowRider setting
