On opening night, Thursday, July 28, there will be a Flow League meeting at 6:30pm in the Courtyard before the heats begin at 7pm.
Each week, 2 teams will compete, head to head, in a 30-minute heat. This will be ‘Jam Style’, meaning riders will have as many runs as they can fit into the 30 minutes. Each run will max out at 30 seconds. There will be a long Set List of tricks. Very doubtful a team will complete them all. The Set List is very basic and fun for all. Teams to complete as many tricks from the Set List as possible in the heat to earn points. Riders can score up to 5 points per run. There will be a basketball hoop somewhere on the wave structure. Each team is allowed to make 2 baskets during the heat, which will reset the opposing teams score back to zero. If a rider chooses to attempt a resetting shot, they can only attempt to shoot the basketball instead of earning their team points. If a team gets reset back to zero points, they start fresh and can complete any and all tricks. Team scores are determined as to how many points a team accumulates. The team who completes the most tricks during the heat is the winner.
There will be eight teams of four riders. Riders can form teams however they like, with any level riders. Teams will be accepted on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.
If a rider is going to be absent, it is the team's responsibility to find a substitute rider. Subs must be registered with the League Manager prior to the start of the team’s heat. Subs cannot be from another team and may not ride for more than one person per night. If a sub cannot be found, the team can still compete, possibly still earning maximum points if the three riders perform well. Two or more riders must compete, or the team will have to forfeit.
All teams will have the Set List of tricks. Over the half hour of ride time, each team will try to complete as many different tricks as possible, each earning a point. Each rider is capped at completing 5 tricks per 30 second run. The team that completes the most amounts of tricks, and accumulates the most points will get a win for that week.
A judge will be keeping track of completed tricks throughout the heat and will determine if a points should be awarded.
The entry Fee is $200/team. A non-refundable $50 deposit can placed up until registration deadline to hold your team's spot. The entry fee includes the following for all team members: entry into the League, $15 off our All Day Sundays promotion (reg. $60) and $15/hr wave riding on Thursdays during the League dates.
Full payments must be received by the evening of Wednesday, July 27 or a wait-listed team will take your spot.
