Friday night brought chill vibes, smooth beats and a sea of dreadlocks to Sound Wave, as the Wailing Souls packed the house. The evening began early with the Tribe of Kings and their sunset sessions in addition to interim music to entertain the crowd. Guests swayed and danced to the pre recorded jams with smiles and no worries as the venue continued to pack. Making a delayed entrance to entice the crowd, the Wailing Souls and President Brown took the stage after 10pm, facing a sea of red, green and yellow, all in awe. Fans of the group have been loyal since their start in the mid 1970s, and while the band has certainly experienced some lineup changes in their near 40 year history, the same sweet sound still emanates every time they play. With 22 albums in three decades, their fans range from 25 to 60 year old surfers and blonde business women, to native Jamaicans who "get a taste of home every time the Wailing Souls play." With only smiles and 'no worries' attitudes, the group actively engaged with their loyal followers through the show. Sound Wave is proud to have hosted President Brown and the Wailing Souls and looks forward to Natural Vibration this Friday, April 16th!
