Looking for experienced (1+ year) group exercise instructors to add to our team. Must have the ability to teach multi-level classes. Must be able to choreograph routines, utilize up-to-date music and teach in a safe and effective manner. This position requires speaking with and interacting with members before and after each class to listen to feedback, offer suggestions and make announcements. Must be team-oriented and supportive of all group ex programs the athletic club offers. Must have valid certifications from nationally recognized certifying organizations.
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years janitorial experience preferably in an athletic club, park or outdoor environment. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and walk up to 50 yards with it. Must be able to greet park guests and interact well with staff. Must be willing to go above and beyond and deal with a busy environment especially during summer seasons.
Preferred 3-5 years of food and beverage or related supervisory experience in a full-service, high volume restaurant. Knowledge of scheduling, inventory and promotions is a plus. This position facilitates the needs of the entire food and beverage supervisory staff and employees.
This position is responsible for announcing events and promoting the sport of Flowboarding to increase awareness of the sport and the Wave House venue. Individual must be experienced in announcing and comfortable using a microphone. Must have a good, clear announcing voice for an all-ages crowd. Radio, sports or other previous announcing experience desired. Completion of public speaking courses – a big plus. Must be knowledgeable about the sport of Flowboarding.
Qualified candidate must have certifications for American Red Cross (or equivalent) including: Lifeguard, CPR / AED, Title 22 and First Aid. Duties will include scanning the wave areas. Must be responsible and have the ability to prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors. Must be able to recognize and respond to all emergencies. Responsible for maintenance and cleaning in designated areas. Flowboarding experience a plus.
