Welcome to Wave House San Diego at the historic Belmont Park, where you’ll find non-stop entertainment. With four unique restaurants, multiple bars, FlowRider ® wave machines and a jam-packed event schedule, you won’t find a better beach party around!
Wind, rain, and cold weather forced Plan-A to move to Plan-B for ‘The Art of Flight’ movie screening. Plan A was going to include tons of wave riding, a huge movie screen over the FlowBarrel®, a live art installation by artist/designer Seth Shelman, and Red Bull’s MXT vehicle posted up right next to the FlowBarrel with DJ G-Roy spinning beats all night. Instead, we made a last minute call to move to plan B bringing the show into Sound Wave, Wave House’s indoor concert venue. The event turned out absolutely amazing and didn’t fall short of the original plan at all.
Out front of Sound Wave guests were greeted with the MXT vehicle blasting tunes and action sports film out of the 2 TV and 4 speaker set up. Very few people walked by without taking a photo of this colossal thing. Sound Wave was transformed into an awesome looking movie theater and loungy dance hall that eliminated the outsides cold weather and rain.
Wave House and Red Bull packed the house from corner to corner. This night was all about having fun and enjoying some of the best snowboarding ever caught on film. The crowd sat glued to the screen as some of the top names in snowboarding drew some insane lines in virgin powder and stomped huge tricks in some of the most remotes places in the world. The flick was like watching the Discovery Channel. But instead of seeing animals, you’re seeing snowboarders’ huck themselves off huge booters and backcountry cliffs.
After the screening, lucky guests walked away with ‘The Art of Flight’ hoodies, T’s, hats, beanies, movies, and wave riding cards. All in all, the night was remarkable and pumped up at least some people to get on our waves and start mimicking what was being thrown-down in the ‘The Art of Flight’.
